Pathfinder Stone is an experiment about direction and exploration.
It serves both as a touchstone of our design philosophy
and as the first stepping stone in uncharted territory.

PASTROL COLONY
Farm Colony
Our project FARM COLONY were aiming to propose a new topology for the farming industry in Arborea, Sardegna, Italy. Where the initial cost to enter the market were relatively high for those who had interest.
The project proposed a small scale ‘’farming colony’’ which includes farming education, living facilities, along with market opportunities.
We dissect the farm colony into 4 major zones:
Agriculture : Bring in innovative technologies practices including regenerative agriculture education and the portable greenhouse in order to increase the profits gained from a small scale farm.
Cow Breeding: The main part of the Cattle farm retains the columns of the existing barn house and is rebuilt on this foundation. We were trying to redefine cattle farms, placing cattles in smaller living units, and more intelligent supplementary feed systems, adjustable roofs and walls (in response to the climate), and bring in new ventilation system at the starting point.
Market: Positioned along the main street for visibility, the market features open spaces for events and varied stalls. At its core, an innovative zone links retail with agriculture, blending sales and exhibition. Adjustable roofs adapt to seasonal needs
Living: The living component consists of two parts:
Construction of a temporary co-living hub for students and vendors.
Renovation of the existing structure for permanent housing area for staff and local teachers.
Through those aspects, The project imagines a new typology of farm academy, offers new work opportunities for locals, while respecting local dynamics and culture, provide the knowledge of a new methodology of farm operation. The FARM COLONY could be replicated throughout the region , bring in new technology to the farmers along the countryside. Farm become a gathering center in the local region.

BEYOND PRIVATE/PUBLIC TRICHOTOMY
The design concept of PRIVATE/PUBLICTRICHOTOMY isparticularly suitable for modern urban environments withscarce resources and dense populations, breaking through thetraditional practice of strictly distinguishing private andpublic spaces.
The building is divided into three equal partsvertically, with the spaces on both sides sandwiching theinner column in the middle, which includes public functionalspaces, and then the horizontal axonometric constraints arebroken to make it translate vertically. This design can create fexible multi-functional spacesand implement shared spaces under the sharing economy.Theextended roof becomes a bridge connecting buildings and units, which not only improves the effciency of space use, butalso provides users with a more diverse and fexible way ofliving and working.Especially in the context of transcendingthe traditional private/public trichotomy, it means breakingtraditional boundaries and maximizing the functionality anddiversity of space through innovative design.

THE HUB
This project is located in the bustling and culturally diverse neighborhoods of SoHo and Chinatown in New York City's Manhattan. It is a wooden - structured community library designed to serve as a vital hub for the local community. The area is known for its vibrant mix of people and cultures, and this library aims to reflect that diversity while providing a much - needed space for learning, relaxation, and social interaction.
